Ready, Set, Go
Mission Statement
Ready-Set-Go, established in 1996, forms a partnership with families of young children (ages birth to six) living within the downtown core. We assist families in overcoming obstacles such as hardships associated with being newcomers to Canada, poverty, neglect, social isolation, poor health, and inadequate nutrition.
Ready Set Go inspires parents/caregivers to build connections and celebrate their community. We share the responsibility for raising healthy, resilient children, and strengthening family well being.
The purpose of Birth to Six Parental Support:
- Promoting, developing and fostering healthy parent-child relationships;
- Promoting access to available family/child-oriented community services;
- Developing and administering educational programs promoting parenting and the health and welfare of children, families and the community generally;
- Promoting cross-cultural activities aimed at benefitting children, families and the community generally;
- Developing and fostering community spirit;
- Educating and training members to carry out the objects of the organization;
- And such complementary purposes not inconsistent with these.

MANDATE
Join with neighbours and community partners in downtown Windsor to strengthen and celebrate families with children aged birth to six.
HISTORY
We began in 1996 when Casino Windsor came to the downtown core (now Caesars Windsor). During this time, a coalition of parents and community agencies came together wanting to celebrate the children in the community and to provide a safe space for them to gather and grow.
Drop-In Centre
The environment has the power to promote relationships, educate,
and prepare children not only for school but for life. The centre and materials invite children to investigate, imagine, think, create, and solve problems. Families are brought together through the various activities, exercises, and events offered at the centre.

Nutritious snack is provided to all families
Where? 680 Alymer, Windsor, ON
