Drop-In Centre

The environment has the power to promote relationships, educate,
and prepare children not only for school but for life. The centre and materials invite children to investigate, imagine, think, create, and solve problems. Families are brought together through the various activities, exercises, and events offered at the centre.

When? Monday to Thursday from 9:30am – 12:00pm  

Nutritious snack are provided to all families

Where? 680 Alymer, Windsor, ON 
(entrance is located in the center of the apartment buildings).

Cooking on A Shoestring

Cooking on a Shoestring aims to teach families about food sustainability through cooking nutritious and affordable meals. Kitchen safety skills and cross contamination prevention techniques are important elements of food preparation, and a focus in this program. 

Purchasing fresh foods as opposed to processed foods and the effects that each have on the body are emphasized. Discover how to use inexpensive and accessible ingredients to make meals for families, while in an encouraging and collaborative teamwork environment.

Growing Gardeners

In connection with the Greater Essex County District School Board our Growing Gardeners program aims to strengthen exploration and literacy skills for children in junior and senior kindergarten. Children will be taught how to garden in their classroom; this type of hands on exposure increases children’s self-esteem and problem-solving skills through trial and error. 

Canada’s Guide to Healthy Eating is used to teach children about nutrition and how it has a positive effect on physical and cognitive growth.

Have Fun, Be Fit

Have Fun, Be Fit motivates children to participate in physical activity in the hope of building healthy self-esteem, helping families understand the importance of physical activity, and educating about proper nutrition. 

This program also aims to promote social interaction between parents, children, and facilitators.

Mom's Time Out

The Mom’s Time Out program invites mothers to take time to unwind and relax. Relaxation activities aid in reducing stress levels, which promotes patience and reduces frustration. Spending time with fellow mother’s also provides our clients with a way to build connections and prevent social isolation.

  • Home Decor
  • Baking
  • Crafts
  • Coffee & Tea time

Ready-Set-School Camp

The Ready Set School Camp program aims to prepare children for learning and success in kindergarten through world of play and exploration. The camp embraces the every day routines and activities in kindergarten in order to expose children before they actually enter school.
